Yeah, I don’t really get the Deadspin hot takes when it comes to the Pels... they played the Lakers like a... anything other than a fiddle, or bagpipes... so I refuse to cast them as the bad guys. The Lakers have nothing to offer but hot garbage, if anything I admire the Pels restraint.

Yeah. I don’t hate the overall genie design, but Smith’s face just isn’t blended into it well at all. If Disney can get Josh Brolin’s face to look natural on a giant purple alien, it shouldn’t be this hard to get Will Smith’s face to look natural on a giant blue genie.

To be fair, I don’t think it matters what movie comes out in proximity to this one.

Yes, the double standard. When Republicans act racist, Democrats call for their resignation. When Republicans are accused of sexual assault/harassment, Democrats call for their resignation. And when Democrats commit those same offenses, Democrats . . . call for their resignation.

I think 2017 is actually a pretty good candidate. Wonder Woman, Logan, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok. Plus Lego Batman, and if you want to think of Guardians as a superhero thing, I think the second one is actually a bit better than the first. Not only are those movies all at least good, it covers so many

Winter Soldier is, I reckon, the better Marvel movie of the two, but I can’t deny just how game-changing Guardians of The Galaxy really is. It proved that Marvel Studios didn’t need X-men, or at least can still be a thing without waiting for Fox to cough up their Infinity Stone, so to speak. It proved that Marvel has

You’re always on the money Dom.

I loved that they introduced that guy as a “musical genius that needs no introduction” and I bet 75% of the viewing audience had no idea who he was. You know you’re in trouble when a Sponge-Bob appearance is the highlight of halftime (if not the entire day).

When everyone was shitting themselves over the new era of offensive football, it was fun to quietly chuckle to myself and wait for them to be proven wrong.

There’s a great story, I think from Justin Bourne, who remembers visiting his dad in the New York Islanders locker room after the team had won their fourth straight Stanley Cup, and all the guys were just sitting contentedly exhausted. That’s how I feel as a fan of this team. I’m absolutely elated that they won, and

My biggest question after the game was: what the fuck was the Ram’s game plan? Your garbage plays aren’t doing anything and just don’t adjust? It’s a football game, you gotta change up SOMETHING.

Or wait a month and see if it’s any good. Plenty of stuff to play in the meantime.

Paradoxically, the sexist and misogynistic show “Mad Men” was on for Lord knows how many seasons, and was watched and praised by MANY women. These same women who defend it with, “Oh it was a different time, different standards” somehow forget HISTORICAL CONTEXT when it comes to [often times, black] men in media.

Brennan’s got the right commentary on this. They were/are professional comedians, what the hell do people want out of them? Both R. Kelly skits are not excusing his behavior, at all. FFS the conceit of the second one is that R. Kelly (and others) are guilty as hell and the ludicrous barriers/blinders stans will put up

I liked the video, but I would’ve thought it was the hypothetical jury selection bit that’d work here: Basically was Chappelle outlining all of the hoops an R Kelly-stan would need satisfied in order to see him guilty: two forms of ID for the girl, better lighting, a plethora of witnesses to include Neal, and R

Thank you. I was living in another country when the R. Kelly thing happened so while I knew who he was he wasn’t nearly as famous or ubiquitous as in the US, but I still remember that sketch and how hilarious it was.

But the reality is they didn’t really limit his effectiveness more than any other team. He still shot 43.3% while he is averaging 43.6% on the season. That 43.3% was also the best he has shot in his last 5 games.

This is a brilliant analysis by Chargers’ HC and Defensive Coordinator, and this is the type of thing I really hope to see more of in coaches. ADAPTABILITY, people. You make your scheme fit the personnel you have, and you tailor your scheme to the personnel you are going against.

I agree with you, and there are people who are far more deserving our time, protection, and attention than the groupies and famewhores who got caught up with R. Kelly.
