It’s crazy man. It’s like there is no discipline and consequences, or at least nothing that will actually cause them to think and care about their actions. The impression I get from these types of students is that they expect to be able to do whatever they want, whenever they want without anyone telling them otherwis

I haven’t played Zelda so I can’t really comment. I have heard a lot of good things but not sure if it’s more of the same in terms of open world action adventure games or if it truly does more to separate itself from the rest.

Yup gaming and online is a bit of a safe haven for these types of people. They can say what they want, hide behind a wall and fake name, and typically the worst punishment is a ban. Rarely do they experience real world punishments.

Agree. I wouldn’t say it’s a great film. I don’t even know if I would say it’s a good film, I just think there were enough good and entertaining moments to prevent the movie from being bad.

I’d like to think most gamers are relatively normal people there is just a vocal portion of the gamer population that consists of horrible people. It’s very similar to the internet where there is of course normal people (Kotaku has a great community from my experience) but reading comments on any given site or forum

I don’t know if some people just had much higher expectations or if their standard for what qualifies as a good movie is a lot higher than ours but I certainly didn’t think it was a horrible movie. Ive seen far worse. BvS, for example, was getting slammed right before release so I went in with lower expectations but a

Graphics and physics aside I am hoping to see some new games and IPs that are able to truly add innovation to the gaming world. This gen has had some great games, some all time classics, but for the most part the games have just been improvements on what we got last gen. Bigger worlds, better graphics, more

It’s similar to what happened last gen with the 360 and PS3. Xbox 360 was more popular and less expensive at launch which put the PS3 in a bit of a hole. As a result Sony had to improve and make changes which paid dividends with the PS4 launch (also thanks to Microsoft nearly self sabotaging the XboxOne reveal and laun

Agree. Microsoft had a lot to improve on after a very disappointing 2013 (Xbox one reveal and launch) and to their credit they’ve done an admirable of listening to fans and making improvements across the board. They have put themselves in a great position to be more competitive with Sony next gen, assuming there is a

While all these games were good, or at least competent, they’re also kind of samey. There’s a lot of big maps you unlock by climbing towers, a lot of open worlds, and a lot of action adventures.”

Looking back it’s hard not to wonder the hell they were thinking with their marketing or why they felt it was so important to focus on the Kinect, only to quickly abandon it once they realized it was hurting sales and gamers had little interest in the peripheral.

But Microsoft messed up by trying to force that future at a time when a majority of people weren’t ready for it. It’s only 5 years later but I think people are much more open to an all, or mostly, digital future. Still, I don’t see physical media going completely away especially as we enter the 4k era. Streaming in

Fair point. For a majority of the list I was reading the explanations because I had no idea what the movie was

I thought it was a completely watchable movie. I didn’t leave the theater regretting my decision to see the film but I’m also in no rush to see it for a second time. Maybe other people just had higher expectations between the popularity of the novel, Spielberg being involved, and the trailers hitting all types nostag

Good point. That would be like saying iPhones sell better than Galaxies (don’t know if this is actually true) so Samsung Galaxies are a failure.

The “console wars” were bit more of a thing in the 90s, early 00s, when companies were actively taking shots a one another. Back then there seemed to be a focus on aligning yourself with a particular brand and console. Plus if you were a kid growing up back then the idea of owning more than one console didn’t seem lik

But Microsoft has to be happy about where they are now compared to 2013 when the XboxOne was announced and released. The Xbox brand, and even Microsoft to an extent, took a big hit that year. There were gamers saying they’d never buy another Xbox/Microsoft product again and of course we all know that the PS4 killed t

What really killed Microsoft with the XboxOne reveal was their terrible messaging and PR management. They did a horrible job of selling gamers on their vision and when met with resistance their stance was essentially “if you don’t like it, too bad.” Once that happened the damage was done and no amount of apologizing,

If the Pro had a UHD Blu-ray player I would almost never touch my Xbox.

To be fair, I think that’s more the logic of Snyder fanboys than Snyder himself. I feel like Snyder makes decision based on what he thinks looks and sounds “cool."
