I guess it depends what you mean by “sticking power.” Take The Last of Us for example. Short game and not a ton of replayability unless you want to experience the story again (or if you are into the multiplayer). But that game stuck with me for awhile. The story, characters, and experience overall was an…
I’m not sure demanding consequences against people because they are accused of a crime that has yet to be proven is the right move for society. There’s a court system built on the concept of “innocent until proven guilty” for this reason. There would be no need for trials if everyone was deemed guilty based on…
It’s also the right of the show makers to decide whether or not they want hire Tambor. And like the article said the season was done shooting before the allegations came out. Are they suppose to completely reshoot the entire season because of allegations that they knew nothing about and don’t know if they are true?
So even though they were done shooting the season when the allegations came out they should have cut him out? They would have had to reshoot nearly the entire season which I’m sure would caused a ton of scheduling and financial issues.
I do think BR modes are going to need to evolve over time. If every single BR mode is essentially the same concept (100 or so people falling from the sky to a ever “shrinking” map in a fight to the death) it will get monotonous rather quickly. However, I do feel there is a lot of room for innovation. Fortnite has…
Nor mine. I only played it a few times but it didn’t hook me like other people. Ironically my fiance, who only plays games here and there (she’s into the Tomb Raider games, played a little of the Arkham games, and is into some Nintendo games), has been playing Fortnite constantly. My friends are always sending me…
Agree about Ori, can’t wait for the sequel. I really liked Cuphead. A very challenging, but fun, platform/bullet hell type game. I was initially afraid the difficulty would scare me away after awhile but the more I played the more I was up to the challenge. I never felt too overwhelmed like the task was an…
At the least it is an attempt to keep the franchise fresh and modern. They know the majority of fans aren’t buying the game for the campaign. Online and zombies have been their bread and butter for awhile and with the battle royale craze it is a no brainer to jump on the band wagon.
I imagine if they were using a new engine that would have been one of the main things revealed. Why would a developer change a game engine and not reveal it?
Completely agree about multiplayer games. Last one I had time and dedication to enjoy with friends was the first Destiny and even that wasn’t ideal (most of my friends played more and would progress faster and more than I could). I also find that most multiplayer games become repetitive which can be either addicting…
Its one thing for a game to release with bugs but the issues that I’ve been reading about just seem unacceptable, especially for a game like this where survival and resources are key. Disappearing hud, having to restart/reload and hoping you haven’t lost any progress, player models turning invisible, etc. These are…
“So it’s no surprise that Microsoft’s only real success in the last few years has come from games that don’t follow those trends, such as Halo, Gears, Forza, and Sunset Overdrive.”
Glad to see I’m not the only one that gets unreasonably excited about patches. The most recent God of War patch was simply “various bug fixes and improvements” and I’m like “awesome next time I play the game it is going to be even more optimized than before!” Who knows what was actually fixed. Chances are I won’t…
Funny thing is Witcher 3 had plenty of issues at launch, at least on console. I remember complaints about slow downs and frame rate issues, I remember game crashes in certain areas, issues with certain missions, save file problems, various random bugs and glitches throughout the world, etc. Thing is the game was so…
I’ve seen people complaining about the high number of patches released for God of War since the game launched and I just don’t see the issue. Review copies of the game were pre-patch and the game was universally praised without any major complaints to bugs or glitches (texts size as the biggest issue I came across).
He could have been a great Two Face but he needed to be the opposite to Jim Carrey’s Riddler. Jim Carrey and his ridiculousness works for the Riddler but Two Face needed to be the serious menacing villain to offset it. Jones probably should have been more Gene Hackman Lex Luthor than Jack Nicholson’s Joker. I guess at…
I want to think the kid audience helped the movie as well. I was 5 when the movie came out and had no understanding of a movie being bad, especially a Batman movie. A new Batman movie with Two-face, Riddler, and Robin? I’m in and I’m going to love it. And when Batman and Robin came out I ate that shit up too.
I’ll say this, as someone that upgraded to a PS4 Pro, you shouldn’t feel like you are severely missing out. On 1080p there are improvements, and the options of resolution and performance modes are nice, but I don’t think I’ve ever felt like my experience with a game would have been diminished or ruined if I was…
I feel it is a preference thing too. I went back and forth between resolution and performance mode with GoW trying to determine which one I liked more. There was something cinematic to the resolution mode that I personally liked. The game looks so good it’s almost like playing a cutscene that runs at 30fps. That…
