Ok, so my question is that why are there other laptops out there on a 13" screen that are 1920x1080 resolution that look just fine? Or am I missing something? I really don't get why I can't just set it to that resolution at least. The slider just says "this is similar to #### x ####".

I did not know that! Ya, it says something like "This resolution is equal to 1600x1050" when you go to adjust in the display settings.

One thing worth noting that I just learned: The MacBook Pros "2560x1600 retina display" is actually the number of pixels, not the resolution. The resolution is like 1600x1080 or something like that.
