More informational than anything, and part of it isn't a security risk, but a risk in general: If you forget your password, you no longer have access to those files from them (i.e. there is no "I forgot my password..." option).

I have a serious question — what would the addition of an SD Card or USB port (in terms of thumb drives) really do for an iPad sans a major overhaul of iOS? Wouldn't there need to be something added in terms of file management and structures, copying of files, moving of files, etc?

Hmmm, your post has me thinking. I think those who already own an iPad see this as "incremental" because fundamentally it adds a camera. For those of us who don't own one, we see this as an opportunity because it 'now' has a camera.
