lol great point. I think a lack of self awareness is one of the most annoying attributes a character can have though. It undercuts everything they do and say. Actually, the same goes for people in real life.

Is the irony lost on Cicada that he is now a meta human, set on ending all meta humans?
I love the show, but I agree with you there. Seriously, the pep talks should have ended in season 1. Also, to give the other team members something to do, they often give them the solutions to problems that Barry should either already know how to solve or figure it on his own.
“You all look like the attractive, yet non-threatening, racially-diverse cast of a CW show.” - Cat Grant
I really liked that Barry & Cisco nominated themselves to support Caitlin in her storyline this episode, reflecting how important she is to them & reuniting the core three from the first season (Barry & Caitlin in particular, one of the show’s best pairings, have been underserved recently)
Wow, I really liked this episode, so I’m surprised by the negative review. I got such a kick out of the Cecile-Ralph pairing. That first scene when she was trying to intimidate him is the most I’ve ever liked her character. (I’ve always liked her character, but that was a high point.)
I loved when she stood on the table to yell at him.
Jeez, all this speculation about Jesse L. Martin going on. Honestly, I think it’s just something along the lines of a hurt back or leg(s) which is reducing his screen time and having him only do scenes where he’s sitting. He looks a bit heavier than I remember, which could be from not being able to move around nearly…
Yeah I don’t think having an actual different primary Wells every year was ever a good idea & in fact I still can’t believe they are actually doing that
I would be onboard with bringing Dick Wells on permanently. Changing up the character every year has official lost its novelty.
I agree about the problem with the diminishing returns of the different Wellses, though I disagree that the solution is to let him go, I think the show needs him. The solution to me is to bring back Earth 2 Dick Wells permanently, though I realize they would have to undo his brain thingy from last season
I’d rather Wells not have a “wacky” accent all season, but whatever makes Tom Cavanaugh happy I guess.
Post-Flashpoint flack, imo, got out of hand. In the context (his father had just died after spending years in jail for killing his mother, who he never really got to know) made perfect sense from an emotional standpoint for the character. He got to go back and change that one event so he’d finally get to have that…
Dammit Barry Nora!
You didn’t say that in the other timeline.
Unpopular opinion, but I think Barry gets too much flack for changing the timeline.
Nora was great, and I liked her interaction with the team.
You have a good point, but I assume the AV Club only writes about shit like this once it’s reached some critical mass of popularity; all the morons to whom this shit appeals already know about it. The rest of us here can just make fun of this chunk-headed moron for an afternoon, then forget he exists.
It isn’t interesting or noteworthy. But it is a whole lot of fun to ridicule.
Boycotts I remember in my lifetime:
