I think it’s impossible to say this was “as it was meant to be experienced by the artist, not the inferior version forced upon them by technological limitations at the time.” Simply because 1989 Koji Kondo might have written something entirely different without the technical limitations! But there’s no way to know,

Shrug.

I guess it’s technically possible that they thought:

—what if the sexy-voiced robot got a body

before

—what if that body was hawt

but like... *Gestures vaguely at stylistic and artistic changes not only in ME2 but in all Bioware properties around that time, then gestures at the game industry as a whole from that

He’s pretty legit

Stephen congratulations, I’m glad to hear you’ve stopped wasting your time on video games.

Why does Katzenberg strike me as a Green Goblin figure, a creature of pure spite, gleefully lobbing grenades at the executives who pushed him out of the company while yelling “OUT, AM I?”

Nibelheim is a bombed-out mess

If they built the bath house from Spirited Away in there, I’d probably never leave

Well, not *our* grandchildren.....

Possibly unpopular opinion, but while the first two Thor movies were bad, Darcy was the worst part. Especially the second, where they gave Darcy, who was a sidekick, a sidekick. Her scenes were unwatchable, though that describes so much of that film.

It’s not as pretty as traditional Ghibli work but people are acting like it’s the worst piece of shit that’s ever been put up for offer and I really don’t think it looks that bad. I’m keeping my expectations low, though, as the source material for this one isn’t nearly as strong as, say, Howl’s.

And write a book about doing it.

I used to do this all the time at bars; as soon as I’d paid my tab, I’d slip a $5 in the jukebox and proceed to queue-up the absolute worst possible music I could find, and immediately leave.

I rather wish they had just made it a random Jedi. The whole season was "Fan Service, ft. Mando and the Kid" though, and it's really lowered my desire to keep on with the show.

It’s actually kind of incredible how well The Last Jedi compliments The Force Awakens. It takes the themes of the previous film and deepens them. It actually helped me become a bigger fan of The Force Awakens.

I love to say to these people “Look me in the eye and tell me Luke and Leia were always supposed to be siblings.”

The plan was to use PS2 era graphics to make Luke but then they found out they could use PS3 level rendering and it changed their whole plan!

One of the big mistakes Disney made when it was putting together its new Star Wars movies is that it went in without any real plan.

Disney bent over for twitter and Reddit, tanked Finn’s story arc, wiped Rose off the franchise, and generally bent over for bigots while delivering the second-worst-reviewed Star Wars movie after people lashed out at two of the best-reviewed and most profitable Star Wars movies ever.

Mark Hamill’s actually good performance in the sequels >>> the lifeless Luke Deepfaker in Mando.

I’m honestly not seeing much, if any similarities to Avatar. The only things they have in common are an Asian setting, dragons and kid protagonist and Avatar sure didn’t invent those.
