It seems as though a 100% completion rate gets you a cooler ending, which makes a lot of sense to me

Shut the fuck up, come up with ideas about things on your own without outsourcing it to the most boring redditors on the internet

I really get the feeling that you and other kotaku writers just don't want to admit that your tastes include material that could be considered potentially problematic, so you just work backwards to concoct a post-facto argument for why any given show or game is based, actually, and is really feminist (or progressive,

The guys who made Strider made a similar sidescolling kick-em-up called Osman that was set in some sort of high-tech cyberpunk future Iran. Being Japanese developers in the mid-90s, I doubt it's particularly faithful to Iranian life though.

“Adult gamers” fucking hysterical. If you think “adult gamer” is a descriptor that you meaningfully connect with, then you should be embarrassed by literally everything about your life regardless of how many sad dad zombie shooters there are

Its really funny that that is common received wisdom at this point because the story is incredibly well-trodden zombie movie cliche. At best, it matches the heights of a 6.5/10 zombie flick that might have come out circa 2009, and since the “serious dramatic story” is done entirely in cutscenes it can’t be reasonably

not the way it’s living rent free in our heads the way it understood the assignment on god no cap frfr it’s giving kingo and we are Here For It!

hey, can you do me a favor and never post again, thanks

No, that wasn’t the point you were trying to make

Bitch I’m sorry, but there’s a billion reasons you could correctly say Lucas unchecked is bad, but “he doesn’t like when people introduce new characters who are unstoppable badasses into the story he wrote” isn’t one of them. I expect Gene Roddenberry would similarly take a dim view of my spec script about Capt.

Lmao, adults really look at a cartoon who spins fast and say "he's terrifying! He's incredible! Why didn't we get this!" Embarrassing to witness

This is a good comment, but I have to point out that the song that accompanies the scene you're talking about is *not* funerary. It's actually a wedding song

I truly believe, from the bottom of my soul, that anybody who makes any effort to legitimize NFTs or crypto in any way, from the lowliest Jezebel writer, to the most aged and irrelevant pop star, commits a mortal sin against the planet and nothing done against them in retaliation can be morally wrong or

I think kotaku writers should have to pay $5 out of every paycheck for every parenthetical they add to a story, I mean good lord, three before the end of the 1st graf?

Oh no, the only thing more insufferable than people evangelizing the Blue Furby show has gotta be people demanding for decades that the Blue Furby show be revived because it was canceled before its time

I think the dissidia art style is fuckin garbo, tbh. Amano designs can probably work in 3d, but you need to make the entire game accommodate it. An okami-style faux-watercolor/illustrated art design would be tight, but just wedging a standard 3d anime/jrpg character model into extremely spiky armor does not work

it’s for kids, calm the fuck down, there’s nothing kids love more than a little bit of spookiness

none of the comics were ever actually good

most of the time girls don’t want to sleep with someone who spends two weeks straight in bed
