Mock "Ghost Rider" all you want. You cannot hate a movie that gives you such a scene of pure, utter, metal awesomeness:

It took me a few tries to get into Firefly. I like it, but I think the fanaticism has colored my view. I'd say it's a good sci-fi show, but I cannot agree that it's the Best Thing Evah.

I hear your frustration, but wanting a film not to be made has never made any sense to me, as it takes away the chance (however small) of making a great film. The stakes aren't life or death — if a film is bad, it's just another bad film — it doesn't damage the experience of the original. Plenty of bad movies are

I think this is all that needs to be said on the matter!

Superman Returns. When taken as part of the trilogy that is Superman the Movie, Superman 2 and SR, it really puts a different perspective on the character and the mythology. It turns Superman into a complex character who is without a home, and it gives consequence to the relationships he builds with humans.

Well, I have been a "geek" to long to be a fake, happen to think that obsesive attention to minute detail and "continuity" is a pathology and not a source of pride, and that the ST reboot delivered enough kicks for the audiences crowding the theaters nowadays.

Everyone hated this movie except a small handful of people I've talked to but as a movie nerd I absolutely loved it. I only saw the original as a kid so I didn't have to worry about nostalgia. But I found if you took it for what the movie was I loved it. It was full of overly ridiculous scenes like this one.

Not that it was a *great* movie, by any stretch, but we enjoyed this a lot more than we expected to.

I love Star Trek V, I don't know what anyone else is talking about. I mean, it's no The Wrath of Khan or The Undiscovered Country, but it's also no Insurrection.

As flawed as V is, and boy... is it. The character scenes between Kirk, Bones, and Spock rock.

Jesus, I figured I just wasn't "getting it". Nope, it was just fucking woeful.

I kind of wish one of these movies would call him Heracles. If you're going to call his father Zeus, then call him Heracles. If his father is Jupiter, then call him Hercules.

I've said it many, many times. I love this movie and I make no apologies for it.
