Denim actually seems like a good choice for automotive seats — wonder why it hasn’t been used more often. Does it wear too fast compared to standard cloth fabrics? Or is the association with pants just too strong?
Haven’t most all of the big manufacturers pretty much gone for focusing on the premium market at this point though? That seems to be what I’ve been reading, anyway. Going for volume seems like a risky approach these days, as it didn’t seem to work out too well for Nissan. Maybe their problem was a combination of…
I tend to take endorsements from King, whether it’s related to his own stuff or for others, with a huge grain of salt. That said, I feel like it comes from a place of genuinely trying to be supportive or maybe that he feels obligated to give something back in the form of positive endorsements, even if he didn’t…
The Midnight Meat Train is a pretty cool movie, btw.
What I’d really like to see is a revival of the ‘80s aesthetic in terms of exterior styling. I.e., bring back more angular lines, more wedge-shaped cars, and stupid “safety” regulations be damned, more pop-up headlights.
I don’t mind that, actually. You can taste the cheese more that way. When the cheese melts into the meat, it loses the cheese flavor and is more of a generic greasy taste. That said, when I make tacos at home, I put the cheese on the meat... but maybe I shouldn’t.
Why don’t they just blatantly call it the Kardashian Edition already.
Del Taco is definitely superior, especially in the breakfast burrito department. It was a bit of a drive, but used to go the only local one for the Macho breakfast burrito (grim but fun fact: I was eating one as hangover food while 9/11 was unfolding). Then it closed down suddenly, along with the gas station it…
“and where he was isn’t even real wilderness” -- what does that mean exactly?
They consider it a liability.
If not retirees, probably a lot on disability... enjoying some government welfare.
He became a helicopter pilot, which served him well later.
I gave Tavarish some of my time early on, but he is one of the worst offenders with the clickbait thumbnail style I complained about in a separate comment, and then as you noted, he doesn’t seem to follow through with a lot of projects.
For Donut Media, their content is not so good either, so in that case you can kinda judge the book by its cover.
All of them that, regardless of how good their actual content is, use the cliche YouTuber thumbnail with a hyperbolic, click-baity title with the yellow font slapped over some fake OMG or ShouldIBeConcerned facial expression. “I just bought the [CHEAPEST/WORST/UGLIEST] [whatever car type here]?!” Seriously, some of…
It is excellent, but would be much more excellente if some phones of the projection booth he described were included.
Not familiar with the Maverick, but looking it up now. Styling-wise, not a bad looking car. The ‘72 looks a lot cooler than the ‘74 though, as it seems by ‘74 they had to tack on a very ugly 5 mph bumper up front.
