Been running through a WWII doc and movie phase recently, but never heard of A Midnight Clear until now. Netflix disc service doesn’t have it, so will have to look elsewhere. They have Love the Coopers though, so added that to the queue.

Not impressed by these streamers, and what they flash, be it flesh or cash.

Reasons in this Twitter case aside, I don’t get the demonization for being fired by email or, in a lot of other cases these days, Zoom meetings and the like. Layoffs and firings can be super awkward and emotional, so if I were on the bad end of it and had a choice between in person, video call, or email, I think I’d

I wonder if that particular feature can somehow be re-enabled with Techstream?

It’s like the old ‘90s song goes:

Even if I could physically deal with a shift that long, I’d probably want to kill my coworkers after having to be around them so long -- even the ones I like.

Season 2 stood out for me for one very creepy, very spooky episode about a hotel elevator. I’d like to see more like that one. Season 3 was just okay, but seemed to be a lot more emphasis on Kristen and the sexual tension stuff with David, her fucked up mom, and more goofy stuff than scary stuff.

Servant started out with an intriguing premise, but it seems like the writers don’t know what to do with it, because even well into the second season, nothing. fucking. happens. They just keep draaagging things out with no substantial progress to the plot. I gave up on it.

In the spirit of the season, we shall host a seance to contact the ghost of this man and confirm this interesting theory.

Looking forward to this series in general, but particularly for the Panos Cosmatos episode. So glad there is something to see from him while waiting for his next movie (Nekrokosm).

Maybe it’s just my local Caribou, but every time I’d get a coffee there (I stopped going a couple years back), it always smelled like slightly spoiled milk, and same for whatever coffee I got that included milk. Like every single time.

I’ve found Flanagan’s shows increasingly unsatisfying as they’ve gotten less scary and more into angsty monologuing”

I mean, come on. 1945's Picture of Dorian Gray is a must see.

Does cooking Mad Cow infected meat not neutralize that shit?
