My PC is too anemic to handle Hollow Knight, if you can believe that, so I'm on tenterhooks waiting for a Switch port too.

lol yeah, nobody's bringing down the level of discourse in this discussion! No sad fuckoes holding petty grudges and bringing them up at every opportunity here!
I mean, I'd never want to see an entire neighborhood of brutalist living spaces*, but honestly, sometimes I like the frisson of feeling like I'm living in a bleak 1970s sci fi movie.
Based on the headline, I really hoped this was basically a high-school student's homemade action movie starring himself and his friends writ large, but this looks good too I guess.
Not strictly relevant to this movie, but I quite like brutalism and I don't care who knows it.
"every damn time"
Yeah, I'm not sure what Xanderpuss is saying about Boy Scouts, but the idea that a bunch of teenage boys from rural areas would boo someone because an authority figure told them to lines up pretty well with my experiences in the Scouts.
I'll have you know I was hating on RPO before it was cool.
You can plainly see sparks from Indy's torch fall into the petroleum
Don't get me started on how Indy threw that Nazi out of the zeppelin in Crusade! He fell like 20 feet onto a pile of luggage; he should have died! I swear, do these directors even watch their movies
also voodoo dolls don't work, that bugged me too
I was a very pedantic kid and never a good person to watch movies with.
To be fair, how many movie franchises have been able to knock it out of the park after a 10+ year absence? I'm thinking:
1. Mad Max
2. ????????????????????????????
Here is where I point out that I always disliked the minecart chase because you can plainly see the tunnels cut all the way into the molten heart of the earth but they're still able to flood the tunnels and the water just shoots out of the cliff instead of it all just going into the magma and evaporating boy I hope…
Pretty sure Xbox is getting Cuphead too so fuck us.
I really dislike the term "walking simulator." It probably is the best term to describe this brand of first-person adventure game, but it feels laden with condescension. You don't call FPSes "shooting simulators" or turn-based RPGs "queuing simulators" but this genre — whose most famous example, non-coincidentally,…
This looks pretty cool, but every time someone spells "discreet" as "discrete" or vice-versa I want to peel faces off.
CTRL + F: "Speed Racer"
I mean, I guess it wasn't a YA novel in that it was written at a third-grade level for people in their 40s, but it hits all the main beats of one.
I watched War for the Planet of the Apes earlier today and, while I enjoyed it, it really does seem to be the least ambitious of the series. I'm also kinda bummed the series seems to be over, as I was looking forward to see how unwieldy those titles could get.
