My only real issue with the squid is that it requires an acceptance that human psychics are apparently real things without any prior foreshadowing of that. Yeah, I know they said somebody stole the one guy's brain, but that wasn't definitive proof that the guy was actually psychic.

I'm a huge fan of the book and I'm an equally huge apologist for the movie. I would say they work incredibly well in very different ways. The way the book operates, the focus is a lot more on how these nesting narratives affect each other and how the characters reflect upon each other. The movie, though, uses its

Talim and Raphael were my peeps since II. And then, in IV, they changed Raphael to be less broken, so I switched to Amy. So guess which characters were cut in V?

Why are you still talking about nanomachines? It's all about PARASITES now!

Nothing really. I just think that thinking Metal Gear Solid isn't video game perfection is not something that should be allowed in a logical universe.

Yeah I think the soundtrack was a big part of why I kept coming back to the series. The theme when you fight that one guy on top of the first lighthouse blew my goddamn mind when I was a kid.

I felt like V fixed some of the gameplay problems I had with IV (primarily ultimate moves, which were nigh impossible to pull off in a real fight in IV), but that doesn't make up for the slash-and-burned cast and the lack of any decent single-player. Just give me an arcade mode in V wherein I can play as Talim, is

V is soooooo bad holy shit. What do players want? Three separate characters that copy other peoples movesets, hardly any of the classic characters and a castrated story mode. But, on the other hand, giant penises.

I really like the SoulCalibur series even though it hasn't been good since…the second one? Maybe? But now there's character creators and you can give fighters cartoonishly large penises so I guess I'm sold. Where's the sixth one, though?

How does this even happen. Free will has truly failed us.

Just as the Joker must never kill Batman, so should I have never killed Rukdug the Blade-Master.

Considering nobody mentions her after her death, I assume we're meant to believe she deserved it because she wasn't a virgin.

Absolutely, I completely agree. Also, Donald Trump doesn't even accept that global warming is real, so if he gets elected, absolutely no green policies are getting passed for four years, and that sucks.

Ohhhh, so when you deny equal rights to other people because of their race or ethnicity, it's because you want to preserve the purity of their culture. Boy, those Japanese people we shoved into internment camps really should've thanked us.

Yeah, I know. The Vatican got me from birth and they instilled in me the neurological programming to have compassion for people different from me, and that's why I have these uncontrollable compulsions to lash out at demagogues whose beliefs I understand — after due consideration — to be unconscionable and bigoted.

Whooooa, check out this incisive takedown from political satirist Alan Carter! Tell us about those clowns in Congress next! Do you know any lawyer jokes?

Have you noticed how yer boi Trump is all about appealing to mob mentality? Blame the current president, blame immigrants, blame Islam for all of the problems in the country and don't think about nuance. Blame them all and absolve yourself of the responsibility of looking for real solutions. That's what Trump has been

Live dressblogging truly is the most hateful coverage.

I'm pretty sure A.V. Club is just reposting old, timely stories on social media. I mean, they just did a shotgun blast of all their Oscars features from the last 80 years and Trump is forever timely.

Somebody with better judgement and more clout than I (can't remember who) said that Trump is so malleable, and his plans so unfeasible, that he'll just end up being a puppet for his cabinet and the Party, so he might actually be a better choice than Cruz, who actually, 100% believes in every terrible thing he says.
