Yeah, I guess my point was that it seems like a company requirement for you (in regards to the overseas topic) and not a federal requirement.
Just looked up the actual order and I think you may be correct about the government contract side of things (although, honestly, the order is fairly vague), but in regards to overseas work, there appears to be an exception.
Ha...my first car was a ‘79 Spyder!
I thought the mandate said that government contractors have to either be vaccinated or present a negative test a frequent intervals?
All depends on which way you lean as to whether or not his opinions are “shit”. Furthermore, being curious doesn’t mean you are always going to be correct. Plenty of scientific hypothesis’ have been disproved. Does that mean the scientists were assholes or were they just curious? From my experience, when Joe is proven…
You think it is a bad take because you don’t agree with it. The argument here is whether or not he is playing devil’s advocate. Someone stating something that you don’t agree doesn’t necessarily mean they are playing devil’s advocate. It is a “backwards ass opinion” because it isn’t in congruence with your opinion.
It is “worse” because you don’t agree with what he has to say.
I did listen to the entire podcast. He wasn’t playing devil’s advocate. He was putting forth his own opinion on the topic. That isn’t the same thing. Just because you don’t agree with it, doesn’t mean he was playing devil’s advocate. It just means you don’t agree with what he stated. It is okay to have different…
Bwahahahaha!!! Censorship can be done by private institutions and groups. YOU don’t know what it means. Hilarious! Censorship by the government is unconstitutional.
He asked “Isn’t that supposed to be for the person who gives birth?”
Also, management is often pennywise and pound foolish when it comes to billing rates for good people so you end up with more weak/inexperienced/offshore devs that actually get less done than good expensive ones.
That doesn’t sound like he was just asking questions. It sounds more like he made a statement that you didn’t necessarily agree with. What expert did he have on that he was just asking these questions to?
I get that, but in that scenario, wouldn’t it be better to hire (and pay more for) better devs and data architects and forego the scrum master salary?
I know right! If only there was a word for employees of Spotify and others wanting to edit or remove podcasts of his. Man, what the hell would that word be??? I’ll think of it eventually.
I kinda see what you are getting at, however, I think he is completely open to having people on all sides of an argument on his show. I think a lot of times some just shy away from it, though. Good on Gupta for coming on, though, but bad on Gupta for letting Don Lemon railroad over him after the visit.
Dumb comment. Obviously not.
I am not understanding what you think he needs to “accept responsibility” for? Is it for having his own beliefs and letting others that have their own beliefs also have a platform? He can absolutely be criticized as it is a form of entertainment, and he has been, but what responsibility does he have? It is his own podc…
I meant “they” as in all people who pull the excuse “just asking questions,” not just Joe Rogan.
You listen to his podcast a lot?
