Luxury brands cost more to maintain than others because the dealer service centers know that they can charge more. This explains why Acura is more expensive than Honda, when it is essentially the same vehicle that has been rebranded/rebadged. I would assume (I have never owned one, with the exception of a Pontiac Vibe

Sheesh!

Masks providing protection to the wearer isn’t news? Sheesh!

Worrying only about yourself? That’s not how this works. Pandemics are a threat because we’re all so connected to each other in the first place. Nobody is going this alone.”

No worries...thanks! We are all in this together. I think a few commenters are misconstruing my intentions, but that’s alright, too.  I just think that the more data we have the better we can tackle the issue.  I appreciate your insight.

their = there

Anecdotal evidence is all we have with no formal data being presented. We are doing contact tracing and confirming cases through testing, but is anyone tracking how many of those that have contracted it were wearing masks? I am just curious. It seems like something that should be tracked to measure the effectiveness

I know it is about protecting others, but that wasn’t the question. They still purport to provide “some” level of protection to the wearer. Where are the stories of mask wearers still getting COVID?

Thanks!  You are the one person that actually read the question.  If there was a prize, you just won. :)

I haven’t read about a single instance. I know it is about protecting others, but that wasn’t the question.  They still purport to provide “some” level of protection to the wearer.  Where are the stories of mask wearers still getting COVID?

Understood, but that wasn’t the question.

Is there any data out there regarding whether or not those that have worn cloth masks have still gotten COVID?  I know there are laboratory examples and studies, but have their been any field tests or even anecdotal evidence that has supported the airborne theory?

Go to a car wash (wand wash, not automatic). They have machines there to change dollars to quarters.

I get how the mask works, I just didn’t get the use of the word “slightly”. That would seem to indicate that it is only “slightly” effective, which is not what we are being told.

You no longer need to be wearing it when you get in the car.

I get that, but I also keep reading that surface transmission is unlikely now.  I am more concerned about people having issues breathing in a mask while driving, which has caused accidents.  The CDC does not recommend wearing a mask while driving.

Even if you are not infected, going maskless may slightly increase your chances of catching the virus from someone else. Slightly.”

Completely agree...it is awful.  Why they keep insisting on using it is beyond me.

Patina is what happens to copper and bronze...this is rust.  I hate this fad at car shows.

Well, “hello” to you!
