Yeah, it's not as diverse here (in the GTA east of Toronto) — mostly just Chinese food, some sushi places and Indian restaurants, and the occasional Korean barbeque or pho place. Chinese food is the easiest to find by several orders of magnitude, though.

Nice, I've got like two more months.

She blinded me with rigorous science!

I've only been a handful of times and only for drag night at the gay club, because as far as I'm concerned that's the only reason to ever go to a nightclub.

I always liked that really eighteenth-century format that's like Title, or An Extremely Long Subtitle That Explains Half of the Plot To Lure In Readers Because They Didn't Have Blurbs From Stephen King Back Then. We should bring that back.

It might just be this particular pocket of the suburbs, but I barely see either of those cuisines — there was definitely more Vietnamese in Hamilton, where I went to university, though.

I had to Google who that was. [hands in Trans Card in shame]

On the one hand, sure, I understand that some people aren't really interested in being full-on activists, but on the other I find it hard to let one of the few trans people with any kind of public profile get away with that. Most trans people are in a very vulnerable position, whether in danger of actual physical

I'm trans myself, so I always had more leeway on that. But yeah, it was stupid.

It's probably Chinese -> Indian -> Thai -> Japanese -> Korean -> Vietnamese -> Filipino around here (in Ontario). I don't think I've even seen a Filipino place in this neck of the woods; you'd probably have to go into Toronto for that.

I'm not sure how relevant that is, but yeah. Obviously.

I'm still mad that she's basically the mainstream face of trans people right now. Laverne Cox is right there!

Oh my god, did growing a spine kill him?

Yeah, so was I. The Village People one probably could've worked (in the sense that most people know their gimmick of dressing in archetypal "work" outfits), but the image really undercut it and the "like a little kid" joke likely would've been better all around.

Well, it ain't like Jesus is about to throw his support behind any of them.

Showing a picture of them where they clearly don't really ruined that joke.

Thanks for that insightful contribution.

The phrasing "diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers" is super creepy. Even worse in-context.

Perhaps not literally any, but A) they'd have to work damn hard and B) Nolan's the only director/moviemaker/whatever you want to say I have an instinctual problem with.
