for the same reason Okoye wouldn’t let him ice claw in public back in Korea. the DM are royal bodyguards and assassins. the king runs the country, the Black Panther handles the super threats. the DM handle the dirty work.

walker straight up says its built to do it. part of the thing that makes him LOOK like a hero rather than actually be one.
Plus the fact that he’s survived jumping on a grenade four times, helmet trick notwithstanding.
not trick, his helmet is actually built to take those sorts of blast. he was mid explanation of that in episode 2 (mentioned it being a special kevlar weave or something) before bucky cut him off.
not to mention an end to nations waging war on one another for that period. you’d still have regional warlord assholes but even they would lose power, and the big nations would be too concerned just trying to keep everything running to waste time shooting at one another.
aside a jump in the crime syndicate activity,…
given the time fuckery, this takes place before her death in endgame. or possibly just after.
i did a quick google of that...... i am not brave enough to fully open that can of worms so ill take your word for it.
series was better than it had ANY right being, so im right there with you
im sorry, whut?
fuck the latest incarnation with red hot pokers in ALL the asses. but give the 2011 anime style one a go, it was bloody excellent. a reinvention of the 80s show, but one worth of said legacy.
things change with time. and there is some poetic irony in using the weapon that destroyed hiroshima and gave birth to Godzilla to revive him in a modern film.
the 14 film had a subtext of “using these weapons as intended is a stupid idea and you should feel bad,” with the whole MUTO bait.
i think we could get by with just 3 classes. Hypercar as top tier, both GT classes get a performance bump. and expand the number of cars on the field.
long shot but id love to see Toyota and Nissan get in on the GT class (honda already has a failed NSX program for that) to show what the Mk5 and the 400z could do in…
the greater question is why is bradley covering motorsports that aren’t pure electric?
in all seriousness though, does anyone really watch LMP 2? it may be better to just shutter the class altogether and go to a 3 group grid. given hypercar is supposed to be slower, you could transition from GTLM to that more easily
carrying on that legacy Stan started of making political points through the arts.
they have at least one more movie left in the franchise IMO, an all out Monster team up brawl against invading aliens. they’ve embraced enough of the concept to make it a thing with Ghidorah being alien in origin, so lets fucking do it.
modern take on Gigan would be cool as SHIT to see, along with a update of Kaiser…
to be fair a flat top is a HELL of a lot stronger built than a destroyer, but both of them would have punched right through the flight deck.
unless there is fuckery, the man REEKS of fuckery.
the comment ment the context of in universe, which if you watched the show you would have picked up on.
how the fuck you gonna critique something you havent seen?
i LOATHE the character as a character, but as a creation i am ENTHRALLED for the potential. Just that hint of darkness lurking under the surface, the exposed privilege of his position as a reflection of his upbringing. loving it.
i do smell some fuckery with his “powers,” and especially his military record. one does…
i caught that instantly when it came up. jumping on a grenade means much less when you know you stand a damn good chance of coming out unscathed. dont care how many times you do it.
skinny steve (and lets not forget peggy, she ran towards the grenade steve just beat her to it) would have sacrificed themselves to…
im coming at it more from “the government wants its poster boy but one they control, and they control the narrative.”
