How many times do people need to be told that the inherent implication behind black lives matter IS all lives matter?!?!
How many times do people need to be told that the inherent implication behind black lives matter IS all lives matter?!?!
Apparently it’s not inherent if people keep making the same mistake.
How many times do people need to be told that if you mean, “All lives matter”, say “All lives matter” because saying “Black lives matter” implies only black lives are worth standing up for.
The phrase met with resistance early on, because it really is exclusive in its literal connotations.
I really wish we had a wayback machine and could have gotten the people reflexively saying “All Lives Matter” to instead suggest “Black Lives Matter Too” It would say everything that the BLM crowd is promoting, that…
“How many times do people need to be told that the inherent implication behind black lives matter IS all lives matter?!?!”
The point is, the statement shouldn’t have to be IMPLIED. The statement should be the whole point of the thing: that ALL lives matter equally. THAT should be the message.
If that’s the case, then why have a problem saying “All Lives Matter” instead?
