Nails stabbing your palm- how hard are holding it? The rest of my fingers are relatively pretty relaxed while holding a pen. And I have such long fingers that I can’t snap either.

My parents bought all these little grip things to slide onto pencils that were supposed to teach me to hold them right. Didn’t work. I clutch them like a caveman. I’m ambidextrous, and it took me a while to figure out which hand to write with, so maybe that’s why?

Fairly certain my penmanship is terrible because any teacher I had growing up is right handed and I’m left-handed. They were teaching me the only way they knew how but it didn’t do me any favors.

I have never held them correctly either. It was willful. My early teachers tried and tried, and I refused, because the way I hold them works great for me. And I’m a professional graphic designer, so things worked out fine.
