So You're A Tiger Now?

Nails stabbing your palm- how hard are holding it? The rest of my fingers are relatively pretty relaxed while holding a pen. And I have such long fingers that I can’t snap either.

My parents bought all these little grip things to slide onto pencils that were supposed to teach me to hold them right. Didn’t work. I clutch them like a caveman. I’m ambidextrous, and it took me a while to figure out which hand to write with, so maybe that’s why?

Fairly certain my penmanship is terrible because any teacher I had growing up is right handed and I’m left-handed. They were teaching me the only way they knew how but it didn’t do me any favors.

Similar experience here. I learned to write back in the dark ages, and I still endured seemingly endless criticism about my pencil holding skills. I’ve tried using the “correct” grip (and those pencils stamped markings showing you where to put everything) and my handwriting goes to absolute shit. Somehow, I became a

I have this same problem. Nails are going straight into my palm, and I get a little pen-dent on my ring finger. Oh well. I’ve tried to hold it right and I simply cannot.

I have never held them correctly either. It was willful. My early teachers tried and tried, and I refused, because the way I hold them works great for me. And I’m a professional graphic designer, so things worked out fine.

I’ve always held my pencil “wrong” — I’m right-handed and grip it so it rests on my third finger (supposedly this is how lefties tend to do it). As a result, I have a HUGE callus bump on my ring finger...like a little pillow for my pencil. It’s gone down a little since I graduated/stopped taking notes every day, but

Sadly, that’s also how an employer fires a LGBTQ person in states in which doing so based on such status is illegal:

There was an article a few years back about a group in a town that wanted all the sexually explicit books labeled and put in a separate section. We thought it had merit, turnover would skyrocket, but decided it might be awkward with kids going for the sexy vampire teen books right next to Moms looking for their

They don’t want to ban them, they simply want to “transparency” them away from their town’s library. I mean, it’s not like they want to burn books.....but it is cold in Iowa, so I suppose they’re open to it for practical purposes.

“Racism is bad, and I’m not bad, so I’m not a racist. The reason I think _____s are ______ is just science.”

I live in Oregon and my mom is from that area of the state. The article made an impression on me because it really shows the uselessness of ‘thoughts and prayers.’ Action is required to prevent this from happening again. Both Adam Lanza and Chris Harper-Mercer were enabled by their parents. I don’t blame these mothers

I wouldn’t be surprised that they would go a step beyond and burn books and goose step.

I just need to vent about this idiotic idea of arming teachers as a solution. While I have tremendous sympathy to those victims and their families who might see this as at least giving them a fighting chance to survive, it’s wrongheaded in so many ways. A military style assault weapon, like the AR-15 is a designed to

Everyone should read this article.

The USA. The only country in the world where this happens with such devastating regularity.

Called us lesbian shitasses!
