Yup, in my All-American neighborhood, any flag that touched the ground was burned post haste. Because respect. Yet these flags touch the ground every single time. Fucking hypocrites and their GD flags.

Through a weird series of events at my day job, I was asked to supervise the flag holders at a bowl game a few years back and was in charge of leaving the bag for pickup by a courier after the game. It took about 10 of us to carry it, and we left it at the designated spot.

I’ve done Murph a couple times (no vest), and I think my best time ever was around 55 minutes. For comparison, I can run a mile in 5:30, two miles at 13:00 without feeling particularly winded, rock climb regularly at V4s pushing to V5s, and oh yeah, I played in the fucking NFL.
