I’m trying hard not to consider what that would mean for the political symbolism of the show, if demons end up running both the Bad Place *and* the Good Place...

I made a similar point elsewhere. The sequel trilogy should have been about the return of the Empire as a terrorist organization trying to destabilize the New Republic, using the the dark side to spread misinformation and sow dissension and participating in guerrilla warfare / hiding among innocents, adding moral

I’ve said this at the end of each season, Alex, but once again, thank you for these pieces. They’re what I wish for most from reading reviews. They added to the experience, highlighted things I might’ve missed or provided context or trivia I might not have been aware of, and had an insightful point of view.

My husband is tempted to get Disney Plus just for the Mandalorian (which I understand was the intention). But I convinced him that all we really need is to watch clips of Baby Yoda for free on the internet.

The best part of the monologue was the woman in the audience realizing the guy to her left who looked like Ryan Reynolds was actually Ryan Reynolds.

But it sets up "I need to get one of those" so it's worth it.

Who ever said that the titular character here was supposed to be a hero? He’s not described that way in any of the official descriptions of the character. The Mandalorian is the protagonist here for sure, but trying to describe him as a hero and then judging him as a failure to heroic ideals is unfair when there is

Criminal how she didn’t get an Emmy nod for “Janets” last year.

I could deal with an episode in which Eleanor, Michael, Tahani and Jason all bring Chidi into a separate room to bring him to speed, and the entire episode is just the Judge encountering a long string of increasingly wackier Janets: Steampunk Janet, Yuppie Janet, Hippie Janet, Punk Rock Janet, Beatnik Janet, Frumpy

I want him on every show. He’s a forking genius.

This is only tangentially related but am I the only person who wants to see something with Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Paget Brewster just being snarky bitches to each other?  It might be the greatest piece of entertainment ever produced

Thats my thing, I don’t recall her race being mentioned although I pictured her as white. So any race is fine. One thing I felt was implied if not stated was her size. I just imagine her being big and strong like a football lineman. Has some fat but could lift you with no struggle. If they were going to go smaller I

This. I would be thrilled with a fat BIPOC actress, but this is very disappointing.

Rossi’s Lady Sybil Ramkin

It’d be interesting to see how they’d choose to cast an individual who has to carry a card certifying that he’s really human.

They made him King because of the sudden shortage of royal chairs. He was the only one who brought his own.

Seems like an appropriate forum to ask the AV Club community at large if we could maybe start getting Superstore reviews next season, especially after the great season it capped directly before Brooklyn Nine-Nine last night

Sorry, are you talking about Dani? The one who burns alive anyone who doesn’t follow her or bend to her will? The one who “liberates” foreigners as long as they help her ascend to the throne so she can rule over them? She’s been just as ruthless and bloodthirsty as anyone else in this series.

Guys, I’m starting to think that executing Missandei in front of Daenerys instead of holding her as a captive inside the Red Keep may not have been the smartest thing to do...

Hey, it’s not like in the planning stages they even knew about the enemy fleet that destroyed their fleet last season...oh...wait...
