In his defense, he did make quite clear (in the title, even) that he’s a total idiot.

Call it a hunch, but I think Charlotte is about to be deader the emeffin’ fried chicken.

Such a great show, built around a ridiculously original and batshit insane mythology.

    Carnivale.

New T12 breaks up the flow of the track, but I have to say that it feels a lot safer than the old T12 that had us (motorcycles) sliding both tires toward that wall at speed.

No doubt. During the first few laps of practice at Road Atlanta, I always have to point my head down the front straight as soon as I tip into 12 - All the padding and airfence in the world doesn’t change how the point of that wall is the perfect ending point of the “oops, I lost the front at the apex” line.

    Up your butt, Jobu.

I especially like how the ending music is major-key, soaring, and hopeful; a solid, solid Coldplay ripoff with guitars instead of piano. . .

Thank you for this; the Space Olympics were a terrible idea.

CP all day. It’s a poorly-maintained, nearly 40-year old motorcycle. Every time you touch one thing, something else will break on it. By the time you have all new parts (figure a year), you will have spent enough money to have bought a properly-restored CB in better shape than the one you’ve been sweating over.

Skateboarding is not a crime, McLaren driver!

Chinese Battle Cat is pretty sweet.

Same. It’s a product of its time, and paced far, far too slowly for a modern audience. So much so that the first 20 minutes feels like forever.

    Yawn. Whatever, dude.

    Jar Jar Squeeks.

Amen. King himeslf said of Tommyknockers (paraphrased): Yeah, the whole book was a metaphor on cocaine. It gives you weird inspiration and creativity, and then you’re exhausted and act like a fucking psycho.

In the 80s, he turned out a lot of books because cocaine.

    Bless your simple heart.

He’s #1 in his class, and #6 in the next class up that races at the same time; I think he probably has a pretty good idea of what he’s doing.

This is a fairly warm take.
