It’s a very nice clean design that very obviously borrows heavily from the previous iterations. And it’s lovely, especially when seen next to the Supra which looks like a Transformer mid shape change.

That’s a fair point, but it doesn’t speak to the fact that this particular low spec Volvo is not worth the $4000 ask.  I am not sure what the demand for this car would be when there are a ton of more capable Volvo’s for sale at the same price point.

I paid what was a high price for the car at $3200. I would not pay over about $900 for an NA 850 volvo. You get all the boring with nothing that makes the car fun, interesting or surprising.

My point was not which car is a better one for a teenager, my point was that the car in question is priced too high. This is complete and total nonsense. I live in a hot climate - there was not a single day below 90 in July - and my car cools off just fine in auto mode. I can also regulate the highest speed of the HVAC system so that’s not a concern either.

A 1996 Chevy Lumina is probably hard to find, but that doesn’t make it worth $4000. What’s an m56 cost? I can’t imagine swapping it in would take more than a day. It will bolt right up.

I obviously disagree. While $1800 may be a little light, this is not a $4000 Volvo.

This $1800 car is overpriced. It might be worth the ask if it had a turbo and a stick (but you would have to wait for 1998 and an S70 for that), but this bargain basement base model is not worth anywhere near $4k.

There was a Trump boat rally scheduled for Sunday on the Potomac River. The organizers were expecting 1500 boats. About 100 showed up. Complete non-event, which was disappointing as I like watching boats full of racist idiots sink just as much as the next guy.

I bought it already swapped with a crate motor. They only offered the 305.

They did, but I was on a wait list to get in there. Initially they only received parts to do a dozen cars. They replaced all four latches.

It's at least 1000 times more interesting than the van. Which is saying very little. 

I just had that recall done on Wednesday.  

My local dealership doesn’t even know when they will have the parts for it.
