I don’t know that I felt disrespected, per se. More inconvenienced, which is quite possibly the same thing. They have a job to do - make as much money as possible and it's my job to save as much as possible. It's a balancing act.

Don’t overlook the fact that there’s a horse in the hospital.

I just bought a car this weekend from a dealership. It was easily one of the worst experiences I have had in dealing with people in a long time. The negotiation process took 10 minutes. It was a breeze. I knew the value and had local comps to prove it and they caved to my ask with no giant bullshit.
