I haven’t had a single trip in the last 6 months without spotting at least one person eating or drinking something along the way. Yes sometimes it’s just clueless tourists, but mostly locals who think that the rules are for other people (which makes my blood boil just a bit).

It’s illegal on the DC subway...and commuters will call folks out. At first I was pissy about it, but I appreciate it because our older trains are carpeted and it is cleaner.

...in DC tourists do need the stand right-walk left education,

It looks like a television test pattern by Estee Lauder

Yes, Alex Wubbels has white privilege. She has the privilege of being believed.

There is no fucking reason to live all the way out in Leesburg or all the way south in Stafford or Fredericksburg when you work in DC. None.

I *want* to agree — that either the Klingons coincidentally use the same gesture or that particular Klingon happened to be well-versed in human culture were each highly unlikely.

Mostly, it seems that every other character has just one setting (Lorca: war, Stamets: science, Saru: fear, Tilly: talkative)

The Original Series (and even Enterprise) didn’t have replicators, but on this show (which predates those two shows), a replicator makes uniforms.

States don’t control this. Service dogs are regulated by ADA.

Also, can someone explain the prevalence of service animals in the states?

I’m excited. Genisys was a pile of fun and everyone can fight me.

Puh-lease. I work with lawyers. Scary clowns at the office would be an improvement. :)

Creating Klingons that look nothing like either TOS or TNG Klingons doesn’t make any sense at all.

Well. here is the pic I *meant* to post but couldn’t until now.

Going to pile on to the Black Cat Appreciation Thread with my little girl, who was apparently feral at some point and still has a few quirks to work out. She does have a certain meta-ness about her though.

As a Gen X’er I can confidently say that we didn’t ask for this.
