"Confessions and Lamentations" was the first B5 episode I ever saw and I was hooked. First they kill the cute little kid and then they kill off the entire f***ing race. WTF???? I knew then that this was NOT Trek with its technobabble solutions and last minute plot resets.

In Shadow of Z'hadum, B5 pushes the limits of a main character's virtue in ways that Trek rarely did. ("In the Pale Moonlight" excepted.)

For all its dramatic tension, CoS does have a very funny scene when G'Kar is lamenting his missed opportunity to kill Turhan.
