I grew up in a very white household and the stove light was definitely a thing, exactly as you describe it. It was usually a Sunday night thing, because that was the day Mom could really catch up and get everything just the way she wanted it. It also meant the kitchen was closed.

just wondering if there was a way to look at it differently.”

As if we needed more reasons to love Wesley Snipes! Dude is a beacon.

He’s had a long history of actual activism so this seems like a natural step. He’s one of the few celebs who I don’t see any of his charitable actions as being for image in any way.

I don’t really have a problem with someone using their relatively high profile as a way to increase the profile of a specific charity, providing they are not charging for that service.

I get what your saying, and their can be a bit of smugness when anyone publicizes their good deeds... but if he’s already going to be in the spotlight for his acting and can influence other rich people to maybe do the same; then good on him.

This case doesn’t seem to be about ego, if anything let’s hope it will inspire others.

Good on him. I sometimes fantasise about having ‘fuck you’ money and starting a non-profit that just buys residential buildings and rents out units at cost (taxes + maintenance). Would be extra nice if tenants could build equity in the long run and every building be turned over to them as co-ops.

It’s always nice to see a rich person who is able to admit to themselves that they have enough.

That’s a hard r family and everyone knows it.

Scott was successfully sued as a result of someone being paralyzed from those behaviors. Plus convicted, on two separate occasions, for encouraging exactly this kind of behavior in his audiences.

I don’t think I’m going to ungrey someone currently commenting on the situation.  There’s an element of truth in the accusation of racial matters and recklessness where black people’s lives are concerned, that there often wouldn’t be if it was a white singer.

As far as I’m concerned, Tommy Lee’s legacy should be, in order:

Yeah, it was pretty uncanny. Given that he’s half of this century’s Pam & Tommy couple (hopefully with 100% less domestic abuse) I guess his excellent cosplay isn’t too surprising.

I honestly didn’t know it was MGK in The Dirt until watching the credits.  As someone who grew up listening to Motley Crue, he pretty much WAS Tommy Lee.

As 38 year old who remembers when this scandal broke she was slut shamed to even greater degree and he was treated like a hero. If anything she was treated worse than other women because people people felt like because she posed in Playboy she wasn’t allowed to be upset. Kinda like you are.

Maybe we can get a new VIP show out of it.

As someone who came of age during the peak of Pamela Anderson’s fame & popularity, I am absolutely stunned by Lily James’s transformation here. Sebastian Stan looks fine too, but he still looks like Sebastian Stan playing Tommy Lee (I can’t believe I’m saying this, but he has his work cut out for him following Machine

this looks great. I also love that Pamela Anderson is always being celebrated as such an icon by Gen Z on social media, much deserved resurgence.

Andrew Dice Clay is alive? What the fuck?
