Yes. The indie film world I described no longer existed when you watched it, hence my point that you can’t judge the acting in indie movies that were made in the 80's.

I worked on indie and students films around the time this came out, and youmcant really judge them with a modern eye. Shooting on film was incredibly expensive, and experienced crews and actors weren’t willing to work for back end deals or reduced fees because there was no avenues for distribution like there are now.
