I don’t pretend to understand the motivation of a compact/subcompact SUV buyer. So this speculation could be way off. But the RAV4 is noticeably larger than this and starts at a higher price than even the larger Tiguan. Maybe people ignore that and cross shop them. I don’t know that I would.

What’s weird is I still consider myself a Simpsons fan and I still watch episodes fairly frequently, but barely anything after season 7 and 3 or 4 episodes of season 8. Dave Ramsey is for people who are really terrible with money. Generally, his ideas aren’t the best advice if you have any financial acumen and decent credit.
I’m not saying they shouldn’t be compensated for the software--of course they should! But they should also have a reasonable return policy since it really costs them nothing to do so. If people want it, they should pay for it. If they don’t they shouldn’t be railroaded into buying it.
