several of my friends were at last night's game, all in different spots in the Garden (400s, 200s and right behind the net) , and all of them said it was one of the most horrifying injuries they'd ever witnessed at a sporting event. (hell, it was horrible to watch on TV). one of my friends (the one behind the net)

the slapshot deflected off another player's stick.

+1 so much.

I love Ryan Baby Goose as much as the next girl, but I do. not. like. this. movie. At all. I'm just not a chick flick girl and I gag at sappiness. What irks me more is the utter predictability of every Nicholas Sparks novel and subsequent movie. There is zero imagination/thought process to it.

+1 i love the shortbread cookies.

well played, well played.

exactly! i couldn't help but think maybe she had an apprentice artist tat her up there. i have several tattoos, simple, with lettering and more than a year old, and they look light years ahead of this new one.

oh tribrontodactyl..that me stifle a laugh at me desk LOL :)

tribrontodactyl...so had to stifle a laugh at my desk for that one :)

absolutely. i realize tattoos aren't for everyone, but all my ink is done well. as are a majority of my friends' tattoos.

imagining LiLo as a Shakespearean scholar makes me giggle!

because i am a tattooed chick myself, i checked out the link to lindsay's new tattoo (which was TERRIBLY done by the way). while i can't speculate on the triangle, the quote is from Hamlet's "to be or not to be" soliloquy:

Totally agree. Argo was one of the best films I saw all year and Ben Affleck is really a fantastic director ("Gone, Baby, Gone," "The Town," "Argo"). Such a shame that he was snubbed.

I don't know if I can live in a movie-watching world where Bradley Cooper is nominated for a Best Acting Oscar...and Leonardo DiCaprio doesn't have an Oscar yet. *sigh*

+1. i hate the iron. it reminds me of my least favorite chore.

i agree. lange, rabe and cromwell have been stellar this season.

this is quite possibly the best thing i've seen today.

that shot of the monster at the end...OMG. those noises my co-workers hear emanating from my office are nerd squeals of delight.
