My suspicion is that this sort of thing was probably the root cause of the shooting of Brown. Roll in arrogant and self-entitled (standard PD procedure), promptly escalate the situation, then shit yourself and blast away once the situation gets predictably out of hand. For the officer's/public safety of course?!?

I get the feeling that a lot of folks around here haven't had a lot of run ins with the police. Piss off a cop (which can take a surprisingly small amount of effort) and you'll be lucky to just get some harsh words and threats.

Then why did his buddy admit to it? There's some real mental gymnastics involved to get me buy a conspiracy theory where both his buddy and the family concede the events of the video from the store.

Yeah I think the point being made works more or less, but the comparison of spree shooters to these escalating police fights is strained. The police aren't lighting up spree shooters on the spot because the situation is chaotic and they can't be sure of who's who. If the trigger happy cops came on an obvious spree

So here's the deal. Nobody has ever ordered anything delicious from Applebee's, steak or otherwise because nothing delicious has ever been produced at an Applebee's.

Yeah I never even went to journalism school but what the hell did he think Nike had in mind when they were footing the bills and showering him with gifts? It's like a congressman jet setting on the lobbyist's dime and being shocked, shocked I say that he wanted something more than the congressman's ever pleasant

Daaaaamn somebody needs a cookie and a glass of milk.

Man here I thought that was all in my head. Every damn time I open up a qdoba burrito I'm like how do you work at a burrito place and not know the proper shape of a burrito?

For sure, I think his use of the word victim was problematic. On the victim/victimizer scorecard of life it's not hard to see where Sterling lands. it felt like Olin tried to shoehorn a defense of Sterling into a discussion of what makes a man like that tick, and a little commentary on glass houses/privacy concerns

Yeah I love me some Chris Kluwe and hate me some Vikings although his run in Minnesota so I'm a little mixed on the whole situation.

Side note: if this really is Chris Kluwe, you're awesome even if you played for those losers in Minnesota.

Well then you're in for some real disappointment in life.

Unfair dismissal? Unless he's in a protected class I think he's out o luck on that one.

Referee stoppage is also a TKO and the ref is supposed to call the fight as soon as the fighter stops defending himself intelligently. There's no standing 10 count in MMA.

As does MMA at least in states where they've got their shit together.
