I mean, $500 gets you a couple nice Seikos, a dress watch and a sports watch which is what I usually travel with, though I guess these wouldn’t be as big a target for theft. I wouldn’t want a watch stolen now matter how much it cost though.

Sunglasses are another prime item. My dad and I both have had pairs stolen, and filing a report is utterly pointless. “I zipped them into the inside pocket of my suitcase at the airport. When I got to my hotel, they were not in that pocket.” “I see. We’ll let you know if we learn anything.” Fin

As with all things it depends, a large passenger jet full of people is most likely more efficient or equivalent to the car trip (also depends how many people are in the car) it is the private planes and limited passenger flights that add up

iirc, air travel of all kinds burns around 2% of the carbon emitted yearly. not nothing, but not a huge amount (compared to other greenhouse gas emitting activities - still a shitload in a vacuum)

Lightning XLT starts at $55k, or roughly $10k more than the V6 eco-boost F-150. Ford tried to grab a fistful of profit by building $90k highly optioned tarted up luxury trimmed models and it bit them in the ass because they are rotting on the lots.
