Not familiar with his antics, but half of this stuff sounds like what Michael Andretti was always known for.

Many designers have a ‘signature look’. Callum’s was attractive and understated in an era that often (and now much moreso) wasn’t/isn’t.

Thank you. Some fine journalism here by the author.

“ It’s all a bit much. But I know there are people out there who absolutely dig this stuff. The Venn diagram between them and Apple users is probably a circle.”

Yeah, I saw that one. The Canadians are the only reason that whole thing worked and were treated as a footnote in the movie. No surprise.

The word you’re looking for is ‘soul’. Electric motors have none.

I wouldn’t hold my breath. This is the US, where we are taught at birth that nothing was ever invented outside the US. Hollywood is more than happy to drive that home.

Thought the same thing. How many times has this song been in a trailer/pivotal movie scene? I wonder if they had to pay Scorcese for the rights?

Wow, never saw this before - this is sweet!

I feel sad about Jaguar overall. They do stand for something that’s different than the Germans. Traditionally, that’s been a mahogany paneled, burgundy leather parlor with brass fixtures. Unfortunately, it seems very few (certainly young) people want that that anymore vs the German Tony Stark cliff side steel and

What’s your point? NFL teams sign players convicted of abusing their girlfriends and torturing dogs...and those things are illegal.

A 355. A 308. Classic, sporting, timeless. I think you can say that about very few of the cars they’ve put out in recent years.

Same thing for ‘Factory Outlets’. This used to mean a small shop attached to the factory that would have shirts with stitching that was off a bit or a sleeve a little longer or something that would mean you could buy it at a steep discount.

I’m conflicted on the Diesel Brothers show. It’s way more laid back and doesn’t take itself seriously vs the truck bro attitude you think it would have, which is good. On the other hand, there’s way too much nonsense and not enough build detail. Although, I suppose that’s par for the US car show course, unfortunately.

Yup. Tasteful, good proportions, attractive, well thought out lines. Most of the range hasn’t been able to use those descriptors for years. +1 on the Camaro with a body kit.

Were you absent for the day of Journalism class when they taught you that you should mention what the hell the subject of the article is? Who threw the pitch?!

Got it. I was confused by the last episode where it seemed unclear as to exactly what this new show would look like, when it would come back, if all of them would be doing it, if it would be a full season etc.

Couldn’t agree more on pretty much all of it (not sure about the offensive part though). They caught lightening in a bottle, then tried to recreate it - never works. Everything has been so artificial and contrived. I feel like they got a bit better in the end, but there’s very little natural about it. The show is at

OK, so to be clear, the show continues as a regular series, i.e. episodes. It’s just the episodes will be their adventure trips, not the studio stuff.

Do we know when this begins?
