Good point and I agree. Don’t get me wrong, the current cartoonishly gargantuan pickups are ridiculous. All I’m saying is simply that the large, rugged trucks Hummer made and were shamed and turned on for, are now all the rage. This seems to have ‘validated’ what Hummer was doing and in fact showing they were ahead of

Hard to argue with anything you’ve said. Time and tastes have ‘validated’ this vehicle alone. Never underestimate the power of fuel prices and economic swings in driving tastes.

So Toyota couldn’t develop their own straight six OR put a manual in the Supra due to cost? Got it. I guess SUV/CUV cash is made for swimming, not spending.

Similar situation here. I have a 2013 WRX. With the traction control off, it let’s me do pretty much what I want (sideways isn’t an option in the dry, but snow is a different story). The car is joyfully analog and devoid of nanny sensors and such. Not sure about the new one.

    That car is hilarioiusly large

The company makes no money now. What do you think happens when they jack the labor cost? In the end, it’s not a viable business model as it is. Higher labor cost would just kill it faster.

Thanks for the color. I will now avoid these people more than I already have.

1 - As has been said, this was meant as a side gig, not a full time job.

You’ve just summarized 100 years of US vs European automotive history.

He has a point (other than the German part - that’s just hilarious). I get that they have charm and all that, but you can’t tell me that Jeeps are not poor quality shitboxes in their own right. Just buy a Japanese AWD/4WD vehicle of any sort and call it a day.

Saying a 4Runner is ‘rather stout’ is like saying the sun is rather warm....particularly compared to your usual cast of Jeep characters.

...because that’s what all ‘trucks’ are wearing these days. Have you seen what the Chevy Silverado Z71 ‘Offroad’ wears for wheels/tires? It’s hilarious.

The ignorance and idiocy of his comment is astounding. How much of the IT foundation that this very site (which pays his salary) sits on was developed by those who are now billionaires? Does he think any of this exists if billionaires aren’t allowed to exist? Should they have ‘earned it’ by punching a clock for an

...please explain who Mark Zuckerberg has ‘taken’ his money from? Corporations’ advertising budgets?

Ha! See, the murder part is what I’m trying to understand. I live in a town that does fancy horse stuff, but I have no idea about the people who do it other than they seem to just want to show off how rich they are. Again, it’s always girls for some reason. Are they notoriously crazy or something?

OK, I’ll bite - is a horse girl just a girl who rides a horse? Now that I think about it, girls seem to be into horses way more than guys. Is there a sexual thing in there I’m not aware of? Do tell.

    These (articles?, posts?) are gold.

Yikes. The car is one of the best looking on the road and this trim takes that up 10 notches, but Good Lord, that is embarrassing. What does the hotted up Camry do 0-60 in these days?

The Americans generally hold out for more than 48 minutes though.

If sprinters dropped dead at the finish line, I’m afraid to think as to whether ratings would be up or down on that.
