It’s ‘do you like watching the 100m dash or the marathon in the Olympics’. To each his own, but endurance anything is boring as sin for me...and for the record, I never watch drag racing, but I agree that the engines/physics are stunning and doesn’t get enough attention.
I must be slow. How would GDDYUP be vulgar?
I’m the only one who will vote this, but COTD times 10!
I demand that any color be the paint trend of the near future.

Looks like the mail male got delivered after all.
This. Eff dog accessories. Get them to start making really good, really fun cars again (Civic Type R doesn’t count - it’s hideous).
Why is she trying to poop on that nice car?
Yes, now paddle shifters exist for the fastest possible shift, but before that why did Ferraris always have such long throws? I never understood it for a sports/performance car. In particular, the gated shifter never made any sense to me either. When Porsche, Lotus et al were trying to make throws as short and quick…
Do we know anything about the Bronco at this point other than it seems to look boxy with correct proportions?
I hear you. Getting into rougher spots and fishing, getting in and out of a WRX in waders and spiked boots is certainly not optimal. I need a truck. My friend has a meticulously maintained 2002 Discovery with 85k that he’s willing to sell me for $5k, but there’s no greater time bomb than that. Been in Boston area…
I don’t get it either. Why does everything need 10 gears now? It’s overkill. This thing’s a truck for crying out loud. Five gears in an auto is just fine.
Car review of the year.
Good Lord, this is like talking to myself. I’ve been a sports car guy all my life, but have always loved trucks too, particularly old ones. I do a decent amount of fishing in some pretty remote spots in northern ME. Jeeps are great for all the reasons we know, but fact they haven’t figured out the quality/reliability…
As goes for all of design and life: Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.
I thought I was the only weirdo that cross shopped a Wrangler and a WRX. Drove a Wrangler through Moab years ago and fell in love with it. Test driving one just outside of Boston, it completely lost its charm. Bought the WRX and am so happy about the decision for all the reasons one would be (though I am lacking both…
Nicely written
Honest question (and totally searchable, but I’m too lazy right now): does a Mustang really handle better than a Z now? Is that where we are? I can’t imagine that was the case from the 70s through at least 2000.
I get where you’re coming from, but selling that ‘the sports car world is doing great’ by pointing out ‘there’s an electric Porsche coming’ isn’t really helping counter the ‘things are sad’ argument.
