the valve spring issue was ‘13 only. the excessive oil consumption is almost no surprise to anyone familiar with boxer engines, though again, mostly a ‘13-’14 issue. the fuel pump issues, i believe was mostly ‘13, i haven’t heard anything about it in at least 3 years now.

honestly, i like the toyota or nissan motors more for that.

exactly my impression. i’m on the 86 forums every day because i’ve got a brz. other than the valve spring recall fiasco, and some issues with the electric power steering damper that are inconsistent, there’s almost no consistent issues i’m aware of across any model year.
