You’re gonna get laughed at? Friend, I’m hoping they bring back the Saturn S-series. You’re gonna be fine.

A modern take on the Mustang SVO.
I can’t believe you missed the best wedge car EVER, the second gen Celica/Supra. Especially with the louvers on the rear window, it was the most 80s production car ever. Plus it’s a toyota so reliability is probably not gonna be a problem.
Maybe not cool but SO simple and smart. I had an ‘80s Oldsmobile that chimed if the turn signal was left on too long. Every car should have that.
Two things...
I’d nominate the whole series of BMW inline 6s (username checks out).
I don't know. That one seems to have exploded (view.)
The old Alfa Romeo V6 looks similarly amazing when you pop the hood.
I will see your “simple and bulletproof” Toyota engine, and raise you the 22R.
Growing up, my parents had an ‘87 Ciera International Series coupe. And admittedly it was pretty fun to drive. It had a pretty big V6

The flip side is you are absolutely going to want to look into some kind of heavy duty respirator, and you’ll likely want to avoid 2k clears unless you have a supply air respirator or don’t value your health very much.
So it’s basically a chemical based way to removing that haze and oxidation. I’ve gone the “wet sanding-polishing” route on our old Mk IV Jetta, but afterward I immediately put a clear film (Lamin-X is a good source) over them to protect what I’d mechanically removed. I placed similar film over my Evo’s head lights and…
Pretty sure that’s a Lambo, dude.
A strong entry into the, “Best Dashcam Video - non-Russian” category.
