Hmmmm what Macs are you looking at exactly ? The only Mac you can find for less than that is a Macbook Air and I think the baseline iMac might come in at less than that. Everything else including the baseline Macbook starts at more than that and can go up very, very fast. The base Mac Pro starts at 3k.

This will be awesome tech as you said “if they can live up to the ridiculous battery life claims.” That has been my main complaint for small in ear bluetooth headphones, they tend to promise 12 hours or more, but at actual people music volumes tend to last in the 4-6 hour range. Just not much room for batteries in

Yep, I call bull on this one.

Why not ? If you can assign a value to how bright the cluster of stars known as the Milky Way galaxy is then based on this scale rate FRB 121102 it would obviously have a value of something. In this case it is 1000x dimmer than the Milky Way. Not sure what is confusing you.

I’d think the massive amount of money he’s making from the insane amount of views he gets on Youtube for his craziest videos. I’m pretty convinced that he’ll manage to earn his Darwin Award before 2020.

Unlike dimwitted Dinosaurs we can artificially create our food if we have to. At the moment people tend to eat luxury foods, but if we were to have some event that destroyed a large part of our agricultural land we can subsist on large vats of algae and artificial meats if we have to. This type of food isn’t used now

Dude relax everything would have been fine. The pilots of the plane would have died and it would have been big but that is about it. Krakatoa’s eruption in 1883 was about 200mt in comparison and it though big wasn’t anywhere near an extinction level event. Volcanic winter is just as big a worry as a nuclear winter

If you’re in a first world country you’re not living with s&*t in the way of consequences because none of the first world countries are overpopulated at all. Some of the cities may be a little overcrowded, but if you have the time and money to afford a computer and the internet you’re doing OK.

There isn’t so much an overpopulation problem as there is an overconcentration problem in the examples you use. The vast majority of the world isn’t even inhabited simply because humanity concentrates into a few dozen large cities.

Fear the future and all that hmmm ? Personally I think I’ll trust a well designed autonomous system more than I’ll trust most human drivers. There is talking, phones, music, general distraction, bad eye sight, general bad driving, the list goes on for stuff to worry about with people. 35,000 people die a year in car

Always think of the chil’ren

It’ll cost them more for this one case, but it’ll save them from having a precedent set where more people do the same thing to sell the parts. If the legal system means anything this guy will be told his car isn’t eligible due to willfully corrupting the spirit of the agreement. I understand that what VW did was

This. Finally some sense. People don’t seem to get that pumping more money into a government that just continues to grow isn’t helping anybody. Poor people are not getting less poor regardless of how much money the government has, it’s just making for a system where poor people see the government as their one hope

It’s a translation which is why it sounds so odd. Work in the translation business for awhile and you’ll understand why translating non simplistic ideas like idioms and stuff come off so odd sounding. I’ve done Russian language fantasy books to English work where the author wanted more literal to source translations

. . . You freak out easily don’t you ?

The narrative hasn’t so much flipped as people as a whole are on a rebel against everything believe in nothing mentality. Nazism is the ultimate Taboo subject and young individuals who wanna seem edgy or believe things are too politically correct embrace a softcore version of it. It’s basically just a generation

Ya, but I mean they are a bunch of idiots. I doubt they bothered to cover up all of the evidence. Fire Investigators are pretty good at their job and there is a good amount of evidence that can be found.

Yep, best thing to do is shift into lowest gear, usually L1 on automatics so you can transmission break and let off the gas and brakes and just steer. I usually also try to avoid other drivers tracks and use the middle of the lane to get a little bit more traction.

Why exactly ? All cops are not bad people, and even if he was a bad guy it isn’t going to cost him any money but rather the city . . . so him getting hit is bad no matter how you look at it.

It actually isn’t, it just is sorta taboo. Presidents are not required to not do private business, it just usually isn’t done simply because it could cause a conflict of interest.
