It was originally written for Pitch Perfect 2. They went with Flashlight instead.

I wouldn’t say that the movie justifies that. I don’t want to explain too much about it because part of the appeal of Anomalisa is trying to figure out what it’s saying, but it definitely does not glorify adultery.
