Wow, such a sad article, borders on Black assimilationist minstrelsy. I guess to each his own.

I’d be a lot more sympathetic if somebody else took the video of her and posted it without asking, but she knew that posting this kind of content would cause issues (in other articles she said she had been passed up for promotions in the past) and she continued to post stuff like that anyways. Questionable hill to die…
“As role models for the school system, students, however, employees are responsible for their public conduct ... even when they are not performing their job duties as employees of the school system.”
Here’s the thing, we gotta teach young girls(and boys) to despise his way of thinking. Probably a lot of his fans are the same young black dark-skinned girls he’s rejecting. They’ll be upset but still support his music. The bigger problem is a lot of young black women feel the same way he does.
Im old enough to remember the Black is Beautiful wave in hip-hop. At some point we the fans have to start cancelling this coonery on sight
This is a nation that lauds a man who inherited his father’s real estate empire AND $200 million, yet calls him a “self-made billionaire”.
White Americans literally think being born as a white American is an accomplishment, so, yes. Yes they are.
Last night it was Bill Clinton saying he respects known racist spokesperson, Sarah Huckabee Sanders and now you have Jerry Seinfeld calling known racist Roseanne’s firing “overkill”
What I took away from this was that literally any interaction between a darker person and a lighter person = racism if you want it to be.
Yeah, this is what bothers me about the people getting up in arms about the picture. This successful woman is doing her thing and just happens to be darkskinned. Like...can she not exist as a fabulous woman in the same space with a lighter woman without it being all about colorism? It all feels so icky and reductive.…
Exactly.
Your child wasn’t kidnapped by a stranger. She had to live 19 years without knowing if her child was dead, alive or being abused. On top of that she was 16! She was not an adult. You got your child back at 6, not a fully grown adult who now blames you for everything. She is rightfully upset, hurt and angry. I’m glad…
Dealing with a toddler and a full grown woman who knows that she was the victim of kidnapping are two entirely different things. If the mother wants her daughter to make a choice or to cut contact for her own mental health, so be it.
First off, I don’t want to bring that child anymore pain or issues than she’s already got. She has a world of crazy shit ahead of her and I don’t envy her at all.
I’m linking this clip with the caveat that Kamiyah has been traumatized, she clearly and justifiably has a lot of anger, and this is a reality show. So, it’s not all 100% truth.
No. That bitch was not her “mother”. She was her Kidnapper. The girl has Stockholm syndrome and she doesn’t realize it. I totally get that the daughter is an adult and can want what she wants. And she owes nothing to her birth mother, despite all the pain that the mother went through.
Well at least this happened in Canada that substitute teacher will actually get properly sanctioned and the likely hood of her ever working in a public school again is infinitesimally small.
“...or the fact that the party that nominated his pathetic ass doesn’t give a shit.”
Kevin is no victim here. How is being betrayed by your longtime friend any worse than betraying your pregnant wife?
I watch that clip on, like, a biweekly basis. She is FIERCE. I love how she has this look on her face the whole time she’s dancing like “I’m killing it and it’s fun as hell.”
