My friend and I watched every movie of his for a podcast. It's truly amazing how few clunkers there were (by my count, only about 3) until like 2011. From the very beginning, he was terrific, and always chose daring and out-of-the-box roles.

Pretty sure HBO tipped its hand with this one by saying the "complete series" of True Detective was available for streaming on HBO Go in one of those pre-roll commercials.
