I think they're half lab, half pit. They have lab coloring, ears, and eyes, but pit paws, tails, and coats. Whatever they are, they're 100% adorable.
Ostrom has a great autobiography on the Nobel site. She did her undergrad and graduate work at UCLA, where I study, and she's been a role model to many female students here as well.
I saw the shorter clip and assumed... alas.
Anyone else having a problem with the sound?
@johne: you realize you wrote a long post scolding scolds, right?
@rocktopus: And apparently the cops had to look for him for a few days, only finding him due to an anonymous tip. I'm not a lawyer (I may have a Law and Order LLM by now) but I'm pretty sure judges get annoyed when folks try to pull shit like that.

Or who allowed them to die through neglect. Now the various agencies are going to be reviewed because of public outrage at the gruesome details of…
@Atilla the Bun: I mean, that's just science.
@Solomon Grundy: Debatably. Hopefully that'd be pretty fucking evident on the surface, you know? But when you start getting into standard deviations, you're placing a lot of faith in an imperfect test. I'd think school records, interviews, and psych evaluations would be more pertinent.
@Trai_Dep: Not as long as you leave room for the Holy Ghost.
@Solomon Grundy: The guy's a parole officer, so it's not exactly like his dreams have been dashed. Besides, testing well isn't exactly an indication of intelligence. Nor is IQ for that matter.
