I work odd hours from home on a contract basis, so any Sunday night blues I get are contact blues from my son, who has school on Monday. My sleep routine never changes (I’m up with the sun, the gym rats, and the dairy farmers), so I don’t have a shock to my system on Monday morning. The downside is I don’t look

Lots of underlying factors - taking levothyroxine for hypothyroidism, but recently did a blood test and came back within normal range (0.78, though that could be considered on the high end). Also, suddenly sleeping pretty badly for all of May, generally waking after 6 hours regardless of when I go to sleep. Kidneys

Why would my BP start climbing when I’ve been taking amlodipine besylate 2.5 mg for a few years and nothing else has changed? (127/78 on 4/22 all the way up to 148/86 yesterday, spiking at 184/111 this morning, yikes)

Anecdotal, but, I have hypertension, and I definitely feel not right if I even drink my 16 oz. of 1/3-caffeinated coffee too fast - I’ve learned to make it last between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. So let’s not forget individual tolerance too.

I mean, just look at it! If that’s chocolate, it’s anemic.

So uh, if it says that mine was updated 3 days ago, I’m safe for now?

Forever? Hmm. I see a list of 20th-century men from the English-speaking world. I would never argue against Bowie, but now I’m thinking about the ‘or pop culture’ part of the question...

Jeez. My mom was ‘put under’ while her first was born in 1962. I wish I didn’t know it ever got that barbaric... but we still have a long way to go in the US.

I had an emergency C-section too. Nobody told me not to get up; they probably just didn’t believe I could.

My feet legit jiggled with fluid for several days after my son was born. It was the grossest thing I’d ever experienced (until I had my first postpartum poop, but that’s not a story for this royal thread).

I appreciate that, but no team, squad, genie, or choir of angels could have pulled me out of my wobbly postpartum recess. She’s made of sterner stuff... and a good thing too!

Wow.
Meghan, 2 days after giving birth: walks red carpet in heels and white dress, graciously speaks to the press, smiles.
Me, 2 days after giving birth: gingerly rolls body off bed, stumbles barefoot into bathroom, sees reflection in mirror, bursts into tears.

Wow! I love it. Maybe charging for condiments helps keep those prices low. But what’s a “Hand-Dipped” shake? Anyway, Dick’s is on my list if I ever get to Seattle.

OMG that menu is heavenly to me. I can’t handle an abundance of choices. Come to think of it, there are too many drink options. Not being sardonic.

Even more fun is when they yark all over you during turbulence.

Um. Where’s the gigantic YMMV billboard with flashing lights?
I am all about sleep deprivation while flying, especially when skipping lots of time zones, if you can make it through a full day in your destination before bedding down. For me, toughing it out all but eliminates jetlag.
However, any ‘substance that

It never occurred to me to go anywhere on spring break; I was already blowing too much of my dad’s money on school. I always took a temp job for the week or 10 days and hung out with my boyfriend. It wasn’t til I was out of grad school and finally on my own that I even went to parties. #notbitter #butnotnostalgiceither

Great minds! Just last weekend I hit upon my own perfect formula: some combination of mayo/greek yogurt/sour cream + a little ghost pepper salsa + fresh lime juice. I add the chopped cilantro to the food, because the sauce keeps better without it.

If that’s your idea of a luncheon,
I’ll beat you myself with a truncheon.
