I can’t remember where I saw this written, but when I first started getting into Python shows and movies about 20 years ago, someone said that Palin came off as the most decent member of the troupe, the one that they’d most want to spend time with. Nothing I’ve seen in the 20 years since has challenged that notion.

“I know what’s funny! It’s the world that’s forgotten!”

I highly recommend Michael Palin’s diaries for insight into the Python dynamics and John Cleese very much comes across as the most conservative of the group even then. Still wouldn’t have expected quite such a big swing, but I’m not shocked. I’d be more shocked if Palin or Idle became that guy.

I’m very sure he cut the song because he was advised that Eric Idle probably had a leg to stand on if he decided to sue him.

As someone says elsewhere in the comments, it would be interesting to see an adaptation of Reza Aslan’s The Zealot.

Another classic Oliver twist.

Meh. It’s a decent show but season 3 really jumped the shark when they added a new disciple, Jesus’ cousin Oliver.

*spoiler* They’re going to kill of the main character.

The problem with media based on the Bible is that it’s usually made by Christians, and Christians are more interested in telling you (what they think) the Bible’s trying to teach you rather than the story the Bible’s actually telling.

I actually think an adaptation based on Reza Aslan’s book Zealot: the Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth would be super interesting (and that book is also really interesting, even to someone like me, who is destined to burn forever in the lake of fire).

I can’t wait to see how they integrate him into the Arrow-verse

There’s actually a solid (and very dumb) basis for why this ridiculous idea was considered.

Just give me a Lockjaw solo movie and I’ll be satisfied. I love that big ol’ mutt!

I’m not saying that my ethics radar was better tuned than most people’s even back then, or that I was more worldly, or that I graduated high school and can read, or that I don’t go poopsie in my pantsies once in a while, et cetera, but I actually thought that movie was cringey at the time. Portman was 12 or 13 when

I know Applebees is far from good, but I wonder if most of the people who claim to actively hate it just do it because they think they’re supposed to. Any time I eat at an Applebees it’s been perfectly adequate. Sure, it would be great if it was good, but I struggle to taste much difference between Applebees any other

His dad, from what I can gather, thinks Elon’s a bit of a dick. He’s not an easy child to love.

Just because Big Man Moneybags buys the community center everyone loves and wants to turn it into condos doesn’t mean you let him. Sometimes you need to have a catchy chant and a bikini car wash to raise enough money to kick his butt back to the big city and leave us alone.

There are few things in this world that I’m certain of, but one thing that I know for sure is that Norm Macdonald’s ghost wouldn’t pay for Twitter Blue. This subscription is clearly the work of an imposter ghost. I suspect the ghost of Frank Stallone, who is alive, yet remains the ghost of Frank Stallone.
