It’s supposed to be terrible. The whole point is that once someone gets enough a monetary advantage that they will eventually win.  It teaches why Monopolies suck.

It’s always funny when you tell people you like board gaming and they say “Like Monopoly”. Monopoly is a terrible game. It far to random and it goes on forever.   I’d guess that less then 1% of Monopoly games are official finished.  Most the time they go till half the table storms off in frustration.

“We won’t stop until there is no social issue left we haven’t thoroughly misunderstood!” - Hasbro

Ironically, the game Monopoly is a rip-off of The Landlord’s Game, a game that teaches the dangers of unchecked capitalism that was designed by a woman.

Well at least that will give them a sense of pride and accomplishment

She wishes she were controversial. She’s just tedious.

Why are people who claim to be moderate constantly trying to ram this walking gaffe down our throats?

Hey, I think it’s all good. The best guitarist is the one who inspires kids to pick up a guitar.

There’s no reason for anyone to have more than two guitars: an acoustic and an electric.

Well shit, that actually makes me feel quite a bit better about my collection of 16 guitars and 8 amps.

I’ve always respected this in an age of performative, toothless moral outrage. It’s easy to be principled on the internet, where it doesn’t cost you anything, and you get a nice little dopamine hit. Alan Moore has probably given up millions behind principles in an era where so many people have shrugged and taken the

Moore has also famously denounced the movie versions of his work, which would seem like kind of a snotty position to take if the movies based on his comics weren’t largely awful.

What if you’re old enough to watch all kinds of movies from before you born?

They would like to *think* all the people who read this website are 20, but in reality, there are a lot of us elderly people infiltrating the demographic around here. lol

Wait, parsing more slowly today. You were born in 72, or 82? (fwiw I was born in 72, and yes this is/was a better Revenant).

Even when he looks like Zack Galifinakis in that shot, I’d go gay for Robert Redford.

For real. This is one of my all time favorite movies. I’m not even (that) old! And ok, maybe you’ve never seen it, fine. But there’s no denying that’s Robert Redford.

I recognized Jeremiah Johnson the first time I saw the Meme. Comes with the territory growing up in the 70's and 80's with a mother who used to say that Robert Redford could park his boots under her bed any ol’ time.
