Not to get too cop defensive here buit I have multiple friends and family who are cops, and the mentality of everyone is out to kill you is instilled into them at the Academy from day 1.  Even the most idealogical cop gets indoctrinated.

I give police officers all the credit in the world: Along with the military, they risk their lives doing a job that few of us would want, for lousy pay.

Too bad the tow truck driver doesn’t have some sort of app that he can use to set caution zones and the track have caution lighting.  Do it in segments and the whole segment goes under yellow by a push of a button by the tow truck driver, assuming there is cell signal/data signal.

Te entire argument that increasing taxes will fix ANYTHING without reform into how tax money is used is exceptionally flawed.

Here in Costa Rica we pay about $3.5 (USD) for a gallon. That’s more than 50% of different kind of taxes, some supposed for infrastructure upkeep, others for environmental causes, etc.

Gas Guzzler Tax for all cars 25 mpg combined and worse. Zero exceptions.

Longer comment: why are you asking for more taxes, rather than asking for reform to how the taxes are used? The entire argument that increasing taxes will improve road infrastructure is contingent upon belief that tax income is used efficiently. I promise you this is not the case.
