Save the last two seasons, I loved it. The recovery stuff wasn’t too preachey and the supporting characters (regular and guest stars) really elevated the show. 

This article and then the last two times he put his foot in his mouth and had to make amends. One was his opposition to Black Lives Matter (initially) and the second one had to do with Gabrielle Union and experience with racism. 

He’s, umm, not that bright, is he?
