Considering I’ve been a runner since... 5th grade, ran track/XC throughout all of HS/most of college, have run in a dozen half-marathons, more 5/10K’s than i can remember, and 4 marathons, and I STILL can’t break that damn 4-hr marathon barrier (4:02:00)... yeah, a 3:45-marathon for a “casual” runner is downright

it was in Overtime, so... 3rd “half” (kinda like how OT is represented in some hockey arenas by “4th period”)

Actually, they went 1-3-1 in a 5-game stint in Dec/Jan, with that W coming against Tottenham. Kind of impt to just leave that out ;) Considering they only scored 1 goal in a 4-match stretch and STILL managed to get 5 pts out of that, that just shows their D is better than people have been giving them credit for lately

Leicester’s final 3 matches certainly are harrowing on paper. However, if they can pull off a victory vs Arsenal, and they stay the course over the next 2 months (easier said than done, of course), there’s a very real scenario in which those final 2-3 matches might not even mean anything.

Considering there’s 3 other teams easily within striking distance, hedging would cost me way more than I’d care to put into it. Ive been having fun for months seeing if my tiny bet could pay off huge.

i’ll try and upload one when i get home tonight. I put $1 on each Leicester City (+300000) and West Ham United (+150000). considering West Ham is only 1 pt from a Europa spot, I’d say I bet on the right longshots!

haha i think i actually bet after Matchweek 1, so maybe my site went from 5k to 3k after that? ::shrug:: either way, works for me!

it was just a couple of bucks, but I liked the way they finished last year and figured “eh, what the hell” when i bet on ‘em preseason. It’s made this season MUCH more fun to follow along with!

For the love of my 3000-to-1 bet i placed on them at the start of the season, I sure hope that they can actually do this. haha!

As far as the Pairwise and overall records go, which is what really matters, it’s listed as a tie. the Shootout is mainly for a bonus point in the conference standings.

I don’t think anybody of sane mind would put $100 on them pre-season lol. It was just a couple bucks b/c in my mind, it was a semi-educated lottery ticket. It’s not gonna net me hundreds of thousands, but i’ll def enjoy plenty of spending $$ should the improbable happen!

It’s completely true. Granted it was a very small bet (obviously), but hey, they were the only team i bet on preseason, so that’s gotta account for something, right? In the meantime, I’ll keep riding this dream of dreams!

I’ve been completely on Leicester City’s bandwagon since the start of the season. Mainly b/c I bet on them to win the EPL just before Matchweek 1 started...

He’s an elite defender with an excellent OBP. We don’t need him to hit 20-30HRs, we just need him to get on base AHEAD of the Schwarber/Bryant/Rizzo’s so they can knock him in. When Fowler finally started getting on base at a clip we expected him to, that’s when the Cubs took off in the final 2.5months of the season.

Um... he made zero three pointers. He made that 3rd shot from the jump-ball semi-circle where the free throw line is. He’s a good 2-3 feet in front of the 3pt line.

In his defense, he made 1 more field goal than Kobe did all game.

I had to look that up just to double check (RJ’s stats), and damn, you’re right! Although, one could argue, that RJ’s top 4 seasons were right in the heart of the steriods era (1999-2002), so if he was pitching now... I shudder to think how insanely overpowering he could be. Both his and CK’s ERA+s match up pretty

Even with him throwing more in those 3 starts, he was 40-for-81 with a 4:3 TD/INT ratio, which doesn’t really scream firepower. He had 31 rushing attempts in those 3 games too, so I guess when I think of NFL-competent QBs i don’t think of one with a 4:3 completion:rushing attempt ratio.

Tebow had a 5-game winning streak in which his team won by 7pts or fewer in all of them, went a combined 51-for-101 (seriously, that HAS to be the only 5-game winning streak in the last 50 years in which the QB had only 51 completions) and won games b/c 1) opponents moron of a RB ran out of bounds, giving ‘em enough

“He won one game because the other team’s running back was an idiot who ran out of bounds” . That was the Bears game wasn’t it? I watched that game with such contempt b/c I knew that if SOMEhow Denver won that game the media would be all “OMG TEBOWZ TEH BEST EVURRR” and then they won and that’s when I started

oh man i completely forgot about those books! Those stories freaked me the hell out when I was a kid
