How does do the words celebrate rape culture, as opposed to hookup culture?
They’re creepy as hell, but you really have to stretch to infer a celebration of rape from what those signs say. Except to the extent that any reference to sex by a frat boy implies rape.
It doesn’t celebrate rape culture, it is the epitome of sex positive. Absolutely nothing about the banners are implicating sexual assault, If you notice, they aren’t even targeted at the women, They are targeted at presumed sex negative repressive father’s
He needs to tell other men that these sorts of banners and behaviors are inappropriate and why. He cannot write it off as “not all men” (because if you aren’t speaking up to and against these men and their behaviors, you’re in collusion), and he can’t write it off as a ‘joke’ either.
