If I ever find out WHY she thought every sandwich needed to be ruined with butter

Pixie Stix have flavoring in them though, don’t they? That might help, it’d be a little like powdered jam or something. The butter and sugar on white bread seems rather bland and doughy to me. Maybe I need to try with less butter and less sugar, maybe cinnamon and sugar, maybe cookie butter and nutella...

I've been known to do that...but the buttered side goes down on the pan to make myself a tuna melt.

I’m in Washington. LET’S MEET IN OREGON. More people need to get on the cabbage-dill-herring flavor train. Fools are missing out.

I think, as an adult, more things need potato chips added

I recently purchase English muffins for the express purpose of slathering them in butter. All those little pools of melted butter in the pockets with a sprinkle of sea salt! I want one right now.

I’m english and erm, yep, we always do that. It’s to stop the bread being dry. I personally don’t do it if I’m having a filling like jam or cream cheese bc there is no need but some people are traditionalists and put it on everything.

That is weird and I'm out of the grays.

I think it’s just because we don’t see butter as a sandwich condiment. Butter is for toast or rolls and such, sandwiches are for mayo, mustard, whatever.

I once order a sandwich at a then-local deli and asked that my sandwich have Butter Lettuce on it, as I did literally every time I went to this deli, which was down the block from my job at the time, so about once a week.

Was it butter or margarine? Asking for a friend.

Food rationing left a helluva scar. Fourteen years of limited fats and proteins make a lot of strange things tasty.

I like butter, but I don’t usually put it on sandwiches. I put it on all kinds of bread, on potatoes, noodles, corn on the cob, sometimes rice. Butter. Gooooood!

There are better ways to keep PB from sticking to the roof of your mouth. Have milk with you sandwich, for one. Or put something juicy and crunchy on your sandwich like pickles (not just cucumber pickles either) or sauerkraut or maybe sprouts and cucumbers or apple slices, all of which sound tastier than butter with

I'm with you. Bread and butter for tea on Sunday, whilst watching antiques roadshow or last of the summer wine is a joyous memory. I had bread and butter for tea tonight.

I used to do that too. :/ If you want a cafe employee to sneer at you, order a croissant and ask for three pats of butter.

I don’t understand why butter is being maligned so thoroughly by all these people. It belongs on bread. Why would you NOT include it in a sandwich? There are weirder things on sandwiches than butter. But that’s me.

CINNAMON TOAST ftw! I still make this sometimes.

That sounds like second day of my period snacking honestly.

It was that plasticky ass shit that should be called ‘I Can’t Believe Anyone Actually Eats This Shit!’, wasn't it?
